No Mac or iPad Releases Expected for the Rest of 2023. In an unexpected turn of events, 2023 might mark a significant deviation for Apple, with the tech giant potentially skipping any new iPad launches. Based on recent insights from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple’s lineup of Macs and iPads might remain consistent, without any additions for the rest of the year.
Despite iPhone 15 Launch, TSMC’s Profits Hit a Low Point
Previously, Kuo hinted at the unlikelihood of Apple introducing new MacBooks featuring the M3 chip within this calendar year. Considering the current MacBook Air and MacBook Pro iterations run on the M2-series chips, this would imply that fans may need to wait until 2024 to see any M3 chip integration.
Also, updates for the 24-inch iMac seem to be pushed to 2024, thereby eliminating the chances of a revamp for this desktop variant this year. As for other desktop offerings like the Mac mini, Mac Studio, and Mac Pro, they’ve already witnessed updates in 2023. Thus, any further revisions to these models might only occur in 2024 or even later.
Moreover, Apple’s entire iPad lineup might stay unchanged for 2023. Notably, we haven’t seen any new introductions or updates to the iPad Pro, iPad Air, iPad mini, or the basic iPad so far. If Apple continues on this trajectory, 2023 could go down in history as the first year without any iPad releases since its inception 13 years ago.
