Jelly scrolling effect on some Apple Watch Ultra. Is the one reported by Apple Watch Ultra users really a problem? Some users are noticing the so-called “jelly scrolling” effect on the Apple Watch Ultra display, but that’s why it’s not really a problem.
How to control your Apple TV without a remote using Control Center on your iPhone or iPad?
iPhoneSoft reported this “gelatinous” scrolling effect on the Apple Watch Ultra in a recent article. For the uninitiated, “jelly scrolling” occurs when one part of the display updates significantly slower than the other, with an oscillating effect when the content moves rapidly. This can be seen for example when scrolling quickly through a web page in Safari.
Exactly one year ago, this “problem” made headlines after the launch of the iPad mini 6. Despite complaints from users, Apple released a statement stating that this type of scrolling effect is normal behavior and can occur on displays used in the iPad mini 6, iPad Air and Apple Watch.
On the Apple Watch Ultra, the “jelly scrolling” effect is visible in situations similar to those of the iPad mini 6. iPhoneSoft, for example, shows the effect while scrolling through a list using the digital crown.
Some similar complaints have also emerged on Reddit from users with an Apple Watch Ultra, but far fewer when compared to last year’s iPad mini 6.
