iPhone, how to fix the error The last used line is no longer available? Some users of recent iPhone models are complaining of a strange error message that started appearing in the past after upgrading to iOS 15, a message that reads: “The last used line is no longer available”.
The error appears in particular cases on iPhone 11, 12 and 13 and refers to the attempt to call using the eSIM (the digital SIM that can be activated with a cellular plan with your telephone operator without having to use a physical nano-SIM ), instead of the physical SIM.
How to fix “The last used line is no longer available” problem?
The solution to the problem is easy and simply open the Phone app, select “Recents”, then “Edit” (top right) and from here “Delete Recents”.
The command, as it is easy to imagine, deletes the list of all recent calls. If for some reason you need to keep this list somewhere, you can take a screenshot.
If for some reason this command doesn’t work, try to remove the physical SIM from the tray (using a paper clip or a SIM card removal tool in the hole next to the tray to extract it), wait a few minutes and try to insert it again, obviously following the same orientation it had when the trolley was removed.
If the procedure still doesn’t work, turn the iPhone off and on again after a few minutes: just go to Settings, from here on the General section and choose “Shut Down”.
