iPhone 15 Plus will rely on Dynamic Island to avoid ending up like the Mini. The iPhone 14 Plus was a failure. iPhone 15 Plus will try the ransom by borrowing from the Pro models reduced frames and Dynamic Island.
iPhone 15 Pro will integrate an even more advanced LiDAR scanner
This is what emerges from some renderings published by the 9to5Mac site, drawings that according to the US site were created starting from CAD files obtained from suppliers in Apple’s supply chain.
Similarly to the rumors circulating about the iPhone 15, the iPhone 15 Plus is expected to offer the Dynamic Island in place of the notch, and therefore this characteristic element – useful for checking alerts and ongoing activities when unlocking the phone – should be included across the entire lineup of future 2023 iPhone 15s.
There is also USB-C in place of the Lighting connector, another element that Apple has provided for the entire iPhone 15 lineup.
In addition to the Dynamic Island, the iPhone 15 Plus is expected to boast slightly thinner bezels than the current Plus model; other small aesthetic changes concern the overall thickness and the slightly thicker camera assembly. The dimensions of the iPhone 15 Plus should be: 160.87mm (height) x 77.76mm (width) x 7.81mm (thickness), compared to the dimensions of 160.08mm (height) x 78.1mm (width) x 7.8 mm (thickness) of iPhone 14 Plus.
The design of the iPhone 15 Plus is expected to be identical to that of the future iPhone 15, always integrating the dual camera system (wide angle and ultra-wide angle); the main difference between iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus should be the size of the battery and the display (6.7″ versus 6.1″).
iPhone 15 Plus should integrate the A16 chip already seen on the iPhone 14 Pro, the Qualcomm X70 chip-modem and also be offered in blue and pink colors.
