How to remove the pause between songs when listening to music on Mac (smooth transition)? When you listen to music in the Music (iTunes) app on your Mac, you may notice a distinct pause that occurs between tracks. But you can make listening more comfortable by providing a fading ending to the composition. Thus, it will be possible to achieve a smooth transition between songs – one gradually disappears, and the other begins just as smoothly.
iPhone 15, the new design is on the wish list
This feature is currently not available on iPhone, but it already works in the Music (iTunes) app on Mac. If you’re listening to music on this app, here’s how you can make songs fade out at the end and fade in.
How to enable fade between songs (song fade) in Music (iTunes) app on Mac?
- Open the Music app on Mac and navigate to Music → Preferences from the menu bar.
- Select the Playback tab.
- Check the box next to Fade Songs.
- Move the slider the number of seconds you want to hear the previous song fade out and the new song fade in.
Now, when you listen to songs in the Music app, you will hear them fade in and out as new tunes gradually increase in volume. There will no longer be a painful pause between them.
Please note that if you play all the songs in an album in order, the fade out mode will be disabled by default.
