DynamicCow brings Dynamic Island to almost every iPhone, but we don’t recommend trying it

DynamicCow brings Dynamic Island to almost every iPhone, but we don’t recommend trying it. Many wonder what a Dynamic Island effect would look like on other iPhones. The answer now comes from a developer who has just ported the Dynamic Island – currently exclusive to iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max – to any iPhone running iOS 16, up to iOS 16.1.2. Of course, it’s not quite the same thing, but here’s how this app works.

Apparently this year Apple will make us bored

While the iPhone Pros have a physically different shape for the cutout that Apple calls the “dynamic island,” the software portion of the animations can still run in the front notch location on previous iPhones to show directions, battery charging, and playback. of the media.

DynamicCow brings the app that promises to bring the Dynamic Island effect to any iPhone. Of course, the app isn’t available on the App Store, however it doesn’t require a jailbreak. To get the app to work you need to install the software on your computer, use that software to get a third-party utility on your mobile device, then use this utility to install DynamicCow on your iPhone.

Also, DynamicCow only supports iOS 16 up to iOS 16.1.2 version. Again, for this to work properly, you need to enter your Apple ID and password into this third-party software to install it. This is already a reason to advise against trying it.

While DynamicCow does what it says on the tin, as evidenced by 9to5mac, the fact that it works on an iPhone with a large front notch makes the app not as enticing as one might expect. Additionally, half of the content in the dynamic island is covered by the existing notch and creates an even larger cutout at the top of the screen. Again, those with an iPhone 11 will end up with a big red bar across the top of the device. The developer hopes to fix the latter problem, but at the moment the result does not seem to be so exciting.
