Bloomberg: new MacBook Pro will be presented in early 2023, iMac with M3 – at the end of the year. In a new report, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman claims that updated 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros will be introduced “in early 2023.” The most suitable time for the announcement is the spring presentation in March. It may also show a 15.5-inch MacBook Air.
Apple won’t release Mac Pro with M2 Extreme chip
No major innovations should be expected in the next generation MacBook Pro: they will receive M2 Pro and M2 Max chips and, possibly, combined LPDDR5X memory with increased bandwidth. HDMI 2.1 and a UHS-III SD card slot are also suggested, but there is no data about them.
You should not wait for changes in design – laptops have been updated quite recently. In the current design, they are likely to remain for the coming years. Face ID may appear, but there is no information about adding a face scanner to 2023 laptops.
Gurman also said that the company continues to work on a 24-inch iMac system-on-a-chip M3. Its presentation may take place in the fall of 2023. The insider does not disclose any more details.
