Beta 3 of iOS 16.2 and iPadOS 16.2 to developers. Less than a month after the arrival of the final versions of iOS 16.1 and iPadOS 16.1, Apple has released – for the moment only to developers – the beta 3 (preliminary release) of future updates to iOS 16.2, iPadOS 16.2, watchOS 9.2
iPhone 14, Apple Stores now repair every model
Among the novelties of iPadOS 16.2 and iOS 16.2 there is the new Sleep widget and the Freeform app, an app that Apple since June (when the first betas of macOS Ventura, iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 were presented) had indicated as in I arrive “by the end of the year”.
Apple explains that you can use Freeform to plan projects, gather important materials or brainstorm; is presented as “one big blackboard that can go as far as your imagination,” with real-time collaboration features (seeing other people’s contributions as they add content and make changes, as if we were standing in front of a blackboard in the same room), smart communication (leverage API for collaboration in Messages and you can start a session from FaceTime and see other people’s updates directly in the chat), advanced multimedia content (you can place images, videos, audio, PDFs, documents and link: virtually any file type and preview without ever leaving your workspace).
As always, registered developers can download the iOS 16 beta profile from the Apple Developer Center and, after installing the profile, install the update with the usual over-the-air mechanism.
Also for developers only, Apple has also released tvOS 16.2 beta 3.
