Apple Watch Series X and Apple Watch SE 3 with larger displays may come out next year. According to a study released last week by an analyst at technology research firm Omdia, Apple plans to launch a third-generation Apple Watch Series X and Apple Watch SE with large displays in 2024.

In a research note, company analyst David Hsee stated that the Series X will come in two display sizes of 1.89 and 2.04 inches, which will be 5-10% larger than the Apple Watch Series 8, depending on case size. Displays in these sizes are rectangular, but because the Apple Watch has rounded bezels, the actual viewable area is smaller.
The Apple Watch Series X will be the same brand as the iPhone X, but the name has not been confirmed. The use of the Series X name is likely based on the fact that this model is expected to be the tenth generation of the Apple Watch. The original Apple Watch was introduced in September 2014 and released in April 2015.
As for the third generation Apple Watch SE, Hsi expects the device to have the same display dimensions as the Apple Watch Series 8. If the new Apple Watch SE will use the same thinner bezels as the Series 8, it means that they will be available in 41mm and 45mm cases, compared to 40mm and 44mm on the current Apple Watch SE. He also expects this year’s Apple Watch Series 9 to retain the same display dimensions as the Series 8.
Hsiey believes that the next generation Apple Watch Ultra will feature a larger 2.13-inch display when measured as a rectangle. The current Apple Watch Ultra display measures 1.99 inches in a rectangular shape.
