Apple Watch 7 Edition sold out in the USA ahead of Watch 8 Pro. According to several rumors, even quite recent, Apple should introduce a more expensive Apple Watch Pro this year in addition to the normal new models of the Apple Watch 8 series: considering that we are only a month away from the official announcements, the current stock out. USA of Apple Watch Series 7 Edition is proof that the new model is now forthcoming.
Apple expands and strengthens its advertising division
Most of the Apple Watch 7 Edition models are out of stock at the US Apple Online Store. As noted by MacRumors, the wearable is also not available in Canada, the UK and other countries, although the 45mm version can still be found in some configurations. In Italy there is not yet such a marked shortage, and many of the configurations are instead available.
This year, it looks like Apple will take a different approach with the Apple Watch range. While the Apple Watch Series 8 is expected to be a minor update to the Series 7, the company has also been working on a new model referred to as the Apple Watch Pro made for extreme sports: of course the official name may be different. This model will have a more robust design and a different form factor than the current Apple Watch.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman recently reported that the Apple Watch Pro will have a 7% larger display which will allow Apple to fit a larger battery into it. Also, this watch should be made of titanium, just like the Apple Watch Edition, so that it is more durable than the aluminum and stainless steel Apple Watches.
Gurman also reported that the Apple Watch Pro is expected to be priced starting at $ 900 due to the larger display and premium materials, which would put it close to the price of the Apple Watch Edition, which starts at $ 799. That considered, it shouldn’t come as a surprise if Apple will discontinue Edition models in favor of the new Pro model.
Apple will likely introduce the new Apple Watch family in September alongside the new iPhone 14s.
