Apple has patented an AirPods charging case with a touch display. From the US Patent & Trademark Office we learn the existence of an Apple patent for an AirPods charging case that provides for the integration of a touch display.
AirPower is canceled but remains in Appleās plans
The patent shows the possibility of calling up Siri and apps such as Apple Music, Apple TV+, Maps and interacting with them.
The PatentlyApple website refers to the patent, explaining that Apple considers a new type of charging case useful that allows information to be conveyed to the user with haptic feedback and details to be shown on the front of the case, interaction modes complementary to those for control of wireless earphones.
In some examples, the case in question shows a touch display, in others a graphical interface (GUI), complete with memory and modules that allow you to perform various functions, with the touch-sensitive surface usable with your fingers but also with the Apple pencil.
Apple has foreseen different operating modes, with the device oriented in different ways and also as a real device to call up commands for control and playback even from devices other than AirPods, such as, for example, content on Apple TV+.
