Apple continues to work on reverse charging for future devices. The rumor about reverse charging in the iPhone appeared several years ago. She was expected to debut in the iPhone 12 line.
As it turned out, reverse charging is there, and it even works, but only with an external Apple battery when the iPhone is charged via Lightning.
But everyone has been waiting for another reverse charge that will allow you to charge AirPods, Apple Watch or another iPhone by simply placing it on the back of the main device.
The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has published a new application by Apple, which is just talking about the “correct” reverse charging. But there is no information about when it will appear in the iPhone. Perhaps it will be added to the iPhone 15, and perhaps it will be shown only in two years – there is no exact data yet.
