Apple, Logic Pro and MainStage software updated. After the updates a few days ago for the software dedicated to video editing, Apple has also updated the audio editing applications, offering updates for the Logic Pro X, MainStage and GarageBand software, integrating new features, improvements in terms of stability and more. still.

The updates are relatively minor but integrate new features into Apple’s various music creation software.
In the Logic Pro X version 10.7.5 release notes, Apple states:
- Track stacks offer an additional level of hierarchy, allowing for greater flexibility and organization within projects.
- The new gain tool provides quick and easy adjustments to the decibel levels of the regions.
- MIDI plugins can be recorded, allowing for precise changes of the resulting notes and controller data.
- A new free record button in the transport controls makes it easy to record without the metronome, letting new content follow the natural rhythm of the performance.
- Smart analysis of the rhythm of audio files and recordings has been significantly improved through a new system based on machine learning.
- The 35 Pedalboard pedals are available as individual plugins.
- Logic can use custom spatial audio profiles created with iOS 16.
- Support for 32-bit floating point format audio files for playback without conversion.
- Support for Ableton Link allows you to synchronize Logic playback with compatible software and hardware.
In the MainStage 3.6.2 release notes, Apple states:
- The 35 Pedalboard pedals are available as individual plugins.
- Includes stability improvements and bug fixes.
As mentioned, a GarageBand update for macOS has also been released. Apple explains more than 480 Apple Loops and 18 drum kits have been added for producing hip hop and electronic music with the new “Beat Tape” and “Modular Rhythms” sound packs. Apple still generically indicates that this update “contains stability improvements and bug fixes”.
