Apple Watch Ultra 2 coming soon, Apple also thinks of a giant iMac. New details on upcoming Apple Watches and an iMac with a screen larger than 30 inches. In his Bloomberg Power On newsletter, Mark Gurman talked about Apple’s future product roadmap.
Apple is planning to change technology for the A17 Bionic chip
In addition to the iPhone 15, Apple is expected to introduce the Apple Watch Series 9 and the second generation Apple Watch Ultra in the fall. Gurman says there will be no new Mac Book or MacBook Pro M3 by the end of the year, but only in early 2024.
As for iMacs, Apple is working on new models with 24-inch screens after skipping the M2 generation entirely. In addition, the company is finalizing development of an iMac with a larger 30-inch screen, a particular model that could replace the current iMac Pro.
However, Gurman didn’t report exact specs for the 30-inch iMac, beyond saying it’s in early development. This means that we don’t yet know if it will include an M3 chip, an M3 Pro/M3 Ultra chip or even an M4 processor.
Gurman also reiterated that iPad updates are planned for 2024, including iPad Pro models with OLED screens and an updated iPad Air.
The analyst adds that third-generation AirPods Pro, a new Apple TV and other smart home products are in early development.
