New iPhone SE? Not in 2024

New iPhone SE? Not in 2024. Barclays analysts Blayne Curtis and Tom O’Malley believe Apple is unlikely to release a fourth-generation iPhone SE in 2024.

iPhone 15 will offer new features to integrate with Vision Pro

In a research note shared with MacRumors, analysts said Apple’s decision not to launch a new iPhone SE next year could indicate the company’s alleged 5G modem won’t be ready any time soon, which would benefit from Apple’s current iPhone modem supplier, Qualcomm. Recall that Apple has been planning its own modem since 2018 and acquired most of Intel’s smartphone modem business in 2019.

In April, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that mass production of Apple’s modem would start no earlier than 2025, suggesting that iPhone 16 models that launch later next year would also continue to use Qualcomm modems. .

Kuo had previously said that the upcoming iPhone SE would have a similar design to the standard iPhone 14 range released last year, suggesting that the device would feature a 6.1-inch OLED display and Face ID. Apparently, Apple does not want to launch an iPhone SE with Qualcomm modem chips.

The current iPhone SE was released in March 2022 with a 4.7-inch LCD display, Touch ID, 5G, a 12-megapixel rear camera and the A15 Bionic chip.
